Applying for services

An application for a place for early childhood education and care can be done all year round. The application must be submitted at least four months before the child needs the place. If the guardian has an urgent need for a place in early childhood education because of employment or studies, the application must be submitted at least two weeks before the child needs the place.

All children under the school age have the right of early childhood education and care. The guardians can select the scope of ECEC needed:

• full time ECEC
  • 85-105 hours per month
  • 106-146 hours per month
  • 147 - hours per month

• part time ECEC
  • 0-84 hours per month
• ECEC in addition to preschool time (4 hours/day)
  • 0-84 hours per month
  • 85-105 hours per month
  • 106-146 hours per month
  • 147 – hours per month (only for children who needs round the clock day care)

The application can be filled electronically in eDaisy   

The application can be done also in the paper, which you can find here. The application in paper should be sent/given to any municipal day care center in Hyvinkää or to service councellor of early childhood and care (City Hall, Kankurinkatu 4-6). After sending the application guardians can make changes to the application by calling to a service councellor.
